When I first arrived in Shanghai, I saw some take-away sushi inside some shopping malls. Those looked like shit. I thought that there was there no way that I could find delicious sushi, but hey, I’m lucky and I found this Japanese sushi restaurant called Wumai Sushi （家顺寿司）. Its actually a pun on the word ‘umai うまい’, which is the casual Japanese word for delicious. ( The more common one is ‘oishii おいしい’, which everyone knows.)
We ordered quite a few stuffs, and each plate of sushi ( 2 pieces ) was 12 RMB. Given the quality, I would say that that is very value for money and affordable.
Items we ordered include:
- salmon with cheese
- grilled salmon
- ikura with uni ( salmon’s eggs with sea urchin)
- salmon with ikura ( salmon with salmon’s eggs)
I will dine at this restaurant every week!
